In First Presbyterian Youth Ministries, we focus on making middle school and high school youth at ease in their church home, where they can explore their faith, develop a relationship with God, learn about themselves, meet friends, and have fun.

Sunday School
Our youth participate in Sunday school programs (9:45-10:45 am) tailored specifically for their age groups, including Y-Search for middle school students in grades 6-7; Confirmation for grade 8; and High School Sunday School for grades 9-12.

Youth Group
Our weekly Youth Group, called YG, is a time for middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) youth to gather together for faith, fun, and fellowship. Middle School YG (MSYG) meets during Family Night on Wednesday evenings, 7:00-8:00 pm, to build relationships, study, and worship. High School YG (HSYG) gathers Sunday evenings, 6:30-8:30 pm, to grow in faith and relationship with God and each other. For both age groups, YG is an opportunity to have fun and grow in a supportive environment as we talk about what it means to be a Christian in today’s world and the challenges of being a youth. The youth also take part in opportunities to do mission in the community.

MSYG Schedule -- Wednesdays:
7:00-8:00 pm 

There is no fee for participation in Middle School YG (September-May) program, which meets during Family Night. 

HSYG Schedule -- Sundays:
6:30-8:30 pm

There is no fee for participation in High School YG (September-May).

Fellowship and Mission

Our middle school and high school youth can participate in a variety of fun and worthwhile activities including fellowship and mission work.
